I found gold on the beach!

Hello Hello to all Hivians, Hivers and indeed any bird lovers that are reading this.

Some of my favourite posts to write on Hive are the feathered friends posts, especially as the rewards go to buying their food in the park.

I have a feeling it may be on the up in the future. We are moving flats in a few weeks to one that has a big tree in the back garden which I intend hanging some bird accessories to it. Let's see if I can get a snap or two!

I had some business up in Aberdeen last week, and whilst there I visited some of my old haunts as I used to live there on and off for many years.

One such place was the beach

I was drawn to an oystercatcher that I will show next week! in the meantime I turned round as something flew past my shoulder and landed on the concrete...

See the Gold?

hehe ok so maybe not the precious metal 🤣, but it is a precious goldfinch which you don't to see on the beach, or at least I don't down in Fife!

I managed to zoom in a wee bit closer with my phone.

Luckily he seemed to pose showing off his gold!

This bird is a European goldfinch (Carduelis carduelis),
