Hello Hello Hivers, Hivians, Silver Bloggers, Sloths and any other wonderful being who has stumbled onto this!

Welcome to 2026 and it has been a fluffing cold one!

Today we are having a bit of a twofor post.

First up is a Hive 2025 Recap and the second is savings goals with the replacement for saturdaysavers which is no more.

Actually I might be a woman now and change my mind .... Oh I can feel those daggers now on me 🤣

Goodbye SaturdaySavers and Hello SlothlySavers

A big thank you to @shanibeer who had run the Saturday Savers Club on Hive for 5 years but has decided to move on with pastures new and a busy retirement, you can read all about it here. She was simply amazing running this on a weekly basis for 5 years, so thank you from me as I personally was introduced to the penny a day savings challenge which I shall be doing this year (hopefully).

I had mentioned this to @slothlydoesit who under the @sloth.buzz has kindly agreed to run it this year on a Thursday and I believe #slothlysavers will be the tag!

So it is the same format, take two savings goals and report your progress on them...

My primary savings goal ... 667.95 HBD

I shall do my best to adhere to the penny savings challenge...

Secondary Offline Savings Pot of £667.95

I have made various goals in the past regards L2 tokens, but they have lost their appeal. As for HP I will be happy with a HP at the end of the year of 17k, currently at 12.4k.

Let's see what happens on Hive in 2026.

To be honest I would be quietly happy if Hive maintained it's price level at this time next year. I think the crypto wild west days are long gone. Bitcoin will continue to rule the waves and hopefully Hive can match the percentage swings.
