Amaka, Ada's younger sister rushed in front outside. Aunty Ada, I saw Aunty Ijeoma on the bike just now, Amaka told her sister.
I am not joking this time, have you forgotten that her grandmother's burial is coming up this weekend? Amaka said with much seriousness. It was then that Ada knew her sister was serious. Amaka must be saying the truth. Ijeoma would never miss her grandmother's burial.
She loved her so much. Ijeoma was always with her grandmother when she was in the village. Ijeoma schooled in the village before going to Lagos to meet her Aunty after her secondary education. She was Ada's best friend in secondary school. She was Ada's best friend in secondary school.
After their final examination, she left for Lagos and there was no way they could communicate because Ada did not own a mobile phone.
Ijeoma travelled to Lagos less than a year ago but to Ada, it seemed like three years or more.
Ada rushed into the room, changed her dress and reached for her slippers.
