Trapped for Six days.
The month of February brought 20 inches of rain to Tennessee. The morning of February 24 after heavy rains again we were trying go to church and discovered we were trapped on our property. Our little creek turned into a raging river overnight and washed out the road.
We found ourselves eating smaller portions for the fact that we did not know when we were going to see the outside world again.
After six days freedom was restored and the road was repaired. Actually we experienced true freedom being trapped for that time period knowing we had planned ahead. There's still a lot of work to do on the homestead to become self sufficient enough that if a true disaster hits we can survive for months and years.
