I have no idea who came up with this name, but it seems that this might be a problem to come.
Wait, what?
Seems that a "blockchain mining" company is going after the Hive community for using the name. But who exactly can they go after in a legal case like this? The core devs behind HF23? DApps? Witnesses like me? Or the entire Hive userbase? 🤔
The company is named "Hive Blockchain Technologies" but they do not have a blockchain or even a token.
There are many other Hives too
This is not the only entity that is using the Hive name. Duckduckgoing around, I can list several of them below that has way higher popularity than the mining company:
Apache Hive
Hive.com project management
Hive Home
Hive.co email marketing
Hive.co.uk store
