Bitwala is now accepting Dash!

We’re happy to highlight yet another addition to the list of accepted Altcoins and Cryptocurrencies: Dash! Welcome to the family! You can now use Dash to pay for your bills, send out international bank transfers and use it to top up your Bitwala Debit Card. It’s fast, cheap and convenient.

Dash? What's that?

Dash is a cryptocurrency much like Bitcoin. It is in fact based on the Bitcoin software, but has tweaked it a little. The major change is an improvement of privacy when making transactions. Transactions on the Dash network are not traceable, completely maintaining the privacy of the parties involved. It comes with a mixing protocol that is using so-called Masternodes that replace the need for a trusted third party. The Masternodes also confirm transactions instantly, thus reducing the risk of double-spending attacks.

Dash has never been more successful!

Dash has a constantly growing fanbase of active developers and users. Especially the announcement of major wallet providers Mycelium and Jaxx to include Dash into their Bitcoin wallets has given the project some fresh attention, driving the marketcap to an all-time high.

So how do I use Dash with Bitwala?

Easy. Simply sign up at Bitwala, fill out your payee details and the other required information. Click “Confirm Details” and then choose “Pay With Altcoins”. Now you can select Dash.
