Last week was a crazy ride in the precious metal sector. The metals were skyrocketing higher and even made me think about taking some off the table.
The hardest part about a bull run in any sector is knowing when the top is in. The feeling you get when you lose all your huge gains can't be denied.

Spot price plus the premium.

Silver Eagles have commanded a nice premium even after the Friday options expiration.

I prefer Silver Eagles over all others and even traded most of my other coins and bars over the years after paying the premium difference when it was lower.

My number 2 favorite is the junk pre-65 90% silver coins. Right now, they are hated, and I'm looking for some good deals on them. The rumor is that the refiners don't want them right now and are just buying .999 purity or higher to melt for Comex or LBMA-approved bars.

Moving on to gold.

What a ride Gold has been on. The December futures contract was getting close to $4400 per troy ounce on Thursday night, only to be smacked down by the Friday morning open.

Something is going on because the spot price is now higher than the futures price. Silver has had this for a while, but it's a little unusual to see it with Gold.

The miners got whacked too!

Despite Friday's big selloff, I'm still very bullish on the metals and miners because nothing has changed my mind on the direction of FIAT debasement and global dedollarization!
