Fun Friday Light Writing
Fun Friday Light Writing
Good Morning and Happy Friday, have a good one and a good weekend
Sticking with my habit of making my Friday post a Fun Friday post, I am back to sharing some light painting i have done on recent early morning walks, heading out while it is still dark to do some light painting and then as it gets nearer to sunrise switching to my normal style of photos.
And you may hove noted in the title I have called this post light writing and not light painting, basically because, well I was trying to write a few words with my lights.
now I will say my normal writing with pen and paper is atrocious to put it mildly, I have been told by teachers back in my school days it was like chicken scratching's.
infect a funny side note, when I was maybe 15, I ended up breaking all the finger son my right hand, so had to write left handed for a few weeks, which wasn't so bad as I am ambidextrous, but when my right hand healed I switched back to writing with it, and a couple of teachers asked me to go back to using my left hand as my writing with that hand was a lot easier to read.
But i stayed with using my right hand, I think I had a mental block from using my left hand as in early school where I had nuns for teachers some of who felt writing or drawing with the left hand was the sign of the devil and would wrap my knuckle with a ruler if I used my left hand
So what is light painting let me try to explain, actually let me cheat and copy and paste how I explained it in a previous post and was happy with it lOL
Light painting is basically photography’s rebellious cousin who skipped art school and went straight to rave school. Instead of brushes and canvas, you use flashlights, sparklers, glow sticks, or anything that creates light
You set your camera on a tripod, open the shutter for a few seconds or minutes, and then whoosh, you draw in the air with light. The camera sees all the glowing trails and goes, “Oh, cool, I’ll just record that like it’s normal.” And voilà—you’ve got a photo that hopefully you think is cool .
It’s like finger painting, but for grown-ups who still believe in magic and own more lenses than socks.
Now onto the photos
I tried to write Hive again, perhaps better than my last attempt
