Retro-Gaming Odyssey
I recently had the tremendous pleasure of pixeling a complete musicvideo for the german artist Judith Holofernes and her song "Analogpunk". She was asking me to animate a journey through videogame history, with all the referenced games being adopted to tell the story of a nerdish girl and her analogue prince charming.
All sprites have been pixeled in Aseprite and Pixly, while most animations have been made by writing small games in Love2D and recording the gameplay, some other clips have been setup in After Effects.
Let me know what you think and how many of the videogame references you've been able to count!
