The Birds, nests and the day

Labor is universal. Not just humans but birds also do labor. They fly off their nests early in the morning and struggle to receive their due from the nature. These birds return back in the evening after doing so much efforts for their livelihood.

These bottle-shapped round nests of Weaver birds. What a fascinating name of these birds. I found some interesting details about this Weaver-bird that these pendular nests are weaved by males to attract the females for mating session. How fascinating, isn't?
Can't we call it social profile of male weavers or even we can call it a CV or a type of application form.

Well, I was supposed to narrate my childhood nostalgia and memories that are attached to a specific tree, used to be at my old childhood home, with these nests in the summer time. We all used to sit under the shade of that particular three on an Indian bed. I used to see these nests with my squinted eyes and always wished to get at least one nest in my hands and one bird sitting in my hands. I wanted them to be my friends. Childhood started transforming into a boy and the tree vanished from the home. The tree was replaced by modernity, i mean a water-tap for facilitation. The transformation was so sudden that i couldn't call exactness of the event.

Looking at the fields, the memories of old home and village again flashed in the flashbook of mind. Initially, my home was very much tied to fields. My father, prior to businessman, was a farmer. It's a profession that belongs to majority of Pakistanis. Fun Fact: Pakistan is an agrarian country.

Amidst all these thoughts, I visited the tomb of Baba Waris Shah who wrote an long epic poem of Heer Ranjha. It's a folk love story that explores the Punjabi society as a whole. It wouldn't be wrong that Heer Waris Shah captures the true essence of Punjab. Baba Waris Shah is called as Shakespeare of Punjab.

Behind the tomb, there is a small museum where some artefacts representing the culture of Punjab are displayed. To my badluck, it was closed.
I kept on sitting there for quite a long time; simply enjoying my thoughts.
