সমরেশ মজুমদার বিখ্যাত ভারতীয় বাঙালি ঔপন্যাসিক। বাংলা ১৩৪৮ সনের ২৬শে ফাল্গুন তিনি জন্ম গ্রহণ করেন। তাঁর অনেক রচনাতেই উত্তরবঙ্গের কথা ঘুরে ফিরে আসে । তিনি বেশ কিছু সফল টিভি সিরিয়ালের কাহিনীকার । তাঁর সৃষ্ট একটি গোয়েন্দা চরিত্র অর্জুন । উত্তরাধিকার, কালবেলা এবং কালপুরুষ তাঁর একটি উপন্যাস ত্রয়ী । তাঁর সমসাময়িক অন্য লেখকদের নিয়ে লেখা তাঁর বই কইতে কথা বাধে।
