Build Consensus in the Crisis

Consensus.jpg

One of the worst things that happened in this crisis is the lack of consensus among all departments and sectors of society. From where did the crisis begin? There is no consensus. Whether the US should end lockdown or not? Again, many experts are uncertain. Similarly, there is no consensus that what should be response now from international health organizations. Historically, countries built consensus even in the worst crisis. For instance, in post war politics, Britain built consensus about the maintenance of national health service. Consensus politics reached its zenith in postwar politics when two main parties in Austria formed coalition. Similarly, it happened in Britain (1945-66) when two parties formed grand coalition. However, conservative party ended politics of consensus in 1970 due to economic difficulty. And in 1990, Britain discovered consensus politics again. The point I want to drive home is that both Democrats and Republican should build consensus in the crisis and returned to conviction politics once crisis is over. Similarly, the opinions and analysis of experts from any department in crisis should build consensus. If there is consensus among infectious disease experts that reopening America could damage the progress then government must look into the matter.

I write about education,politics, literature , life , nature and art .
