Greater Cousal.
The bird is a resident of my home garden. It often visits here around and I have seen it feed on snails and insects. However, it avoids human interference and flies away as it sees a human. My first question was to know the bird's name and its family. As I got the photograph, realized it is from the cuckoo family. The same family as Koel. Its red eyes and big body makes it distinctive from the crow. Some call it Crow pheasant as well. It takes a low flight around and jumps in the tree branches. But, quickly goes away after a human sight.
Finally, after a long wait, I made the capture. And, so glad to share with you all.
