Happy hunter

This is Smokey, my mother-in-law's cat. He's just coming up to two years of age and is proving to be a prolific hunter.

Here he is looking very pleased with himself after bagging yet another bird. The fact that there's a high population of house sparrows, blue tits and other small birds around is probably honing his skills.

Here's the bird and we thankfully got to it before he played it to death but we're not always so lucky.

It's not nice but he's only acting on instinct and no one would care if he were a lion killing zebra, but we all sat thinking of ways to stop him because he's not a lion.
