I met my oldest and her bf at the Portland Art Museum yesterday to take in the Paul McCartney photo exhibit again. It's a bunch of photos taken by Paul right before, and during, The Beatles first visit to the USA.

He took these pictures, then promptly forgot about them until just a few years ago. There are photos from a Christmas variety show The Beatles played in December, 1963, including portraits of George Harrison's mom and dad, two of my favorite snaps from the show.

The Beatles first flight to the US is documented as well, with the group landing in New York, paying the Ed Sullivan show to 75 Million TV viewers, then taking a train to DC due to a blizzard. After a couple days in DC then headed to Miami, FL, where Paul's photos go from black and white to color.

But this post is actually about #pocketsilver!

I've been carrying two-two ounce pieces lately as you can see in this post. In fact, here is a snap from that post.

I have a pair of pants that have a small, zip-pocket that is perfect for these coins. I can even hear them clink together at times 😍

Problem is, I've been know to forget about things in my pockets and have washed many, many pens, tissues, small pieces of candies....and, well, silver coins!

While I was down at my folks house over Christmas I washed said pants, put them in the dryer too, like a good boy. But after they were in there a while I noticed a clunking kind of sound coming from the laundry room and I immediately knew my silver had gotten washed and was now getting dried. It actually sounded like they had fallen out of that pocket, so I went right in to make sure they weren't damaging my folks dryer 😬

They were still in the little zip-pocket, and one of them really took a beating.

Oh no, I ruined the silver and now it's worthless...

It's still worth...

...per ounce, sucker!
