It's been a couple years but I think it's time again to celebrate #bouldersunday

My buddy @shasta is a fellow rock-hound and started #bouldersunday years ago. If you like rocks then go out, find your favorite boulder, and post it up!

The boulder I'm showing off today is especially dear to me. Years ago I lived in Las Vegas, I had just bought a new house in a new development and, at the time, it was one of three built on a street that was going to have 20 houses on it and there was nature all around.

I use to take walks into the dessert across the street an one day I happened upon this rock. As you can see in the pictures it kind of has a triangular shape with a really nice, flat face on the top.

It struck me as soon as I saw it and I thought it'd be a good one to take home. It's not huge in terms of boulders, probably weighs about 60 lbs, but it was a schlep to get it home.

When I got it home I put it on the front porch and there it stayed as sort of a talisman. blessing our house and all who entered. At least that's how I think of it :D

Since then (over 20 years ago) this rock has moved with me to numerous houses and apartments, and it's in a great spot at the moment, nestled right in the fresh landscaping I just did.

There is some great detail too, if you look close, let's see if I can show that.

I like to do some edits of my boulder (😆) on an app called Cameringo when I #bouldersunday so here we go...
