My Favourite Womble Was Always Great Uncle Bulgaria... Not That it is All That Relevant.
So the moment is upon me.
I have mentioned it in some of my posts without too much detail but I have an unusual week ahead of me.
You may know that recently, neither me nor m'lady have had the best time of it. Life hasn't exactly been a non-stop party. We have both 'tried' not to dwell on the negatives that have conspired against us to create this situation.
It turns out that one of us was trying to be proactive, in secret, [with a recklessly, bipolar flavoured brainstorm] and took an incredibly unexpected gamble on a method of making us both feel better.
Without wasting 1000 words on setting the scene, which would not be entirely unlike me of course, I shall cut to the chase.
M'lady thought that despite the fact we have not got a lot of money, we are facing a precarious financial situation soon land haven't left the UK since long before Covid that getting away will be good for us.
I have some hesitation on that front, I have some anxiety about the upheaval and the stress of travel. I am not sure I can marshal my thoughts at the moment, never mind function like a relatively 'normal' member of society for 7 days!
Despite all of this uncertainty, anxiety and some self sabotaging feelings circling the inside of my head, I suspect she is probably, maybe, perhaps, certainly right.
Even if it proves to be all too much for us, I know and love the fact that she acted in the very best interests of us both as she saw it. Moreover I know that she has been incredibly worried about me lately and believes this is just what I need.
I have been very unwell physically and the mental side of things has really suffered because of this. I am going to use the next 7 days [out of the UK] to try and orchestrate a reset of sorts for both of us if I can.
I am also going in to full-on, planning mode if I am able to. I am sure the sun, idyllic scenery and ability to utterly relax will create a life environment about opportunity once again.
So where am I/we going?
Bulgaria. Wow! This is somewhere I have long wanted to visit and now I have this amazing possibility up ahead of me.
The wildlife is stunning. Brown bears, wolves, an amazing array of birds and my favourite... Reptiles. One aspect of me cannot wait, other parts of me are a little overwhelmed, worried, hesitant and sceptical.
I am not going to seek out stock images to share here when I will have my own, first hand images in the morning.
Sunny beach is exceptionally cheap at this time of the year as it is closing from the outside in through September but there is still some decent sun to be had, long sandy beaches and beautiful crystal clear seas... I am certain it will be amazing.
Even though thus far I may have sounded ungrateful, I assure you this could not be further from the truth.
She also thought that, as I celebrate my 51st birthday on Tuesday, it would be a great gift and a lovely excuse for us to spend some time together.
I am taking my laptop with me to try and write at least once or twice over the coming week, however I have never EVER written a post on my laptop, I have tried but just cannot get away with it. I definitely cannot use my phone as I don't understand how to use the keys and stuff and cannot really see what I have written, let alone be able to edit and upload photos to posts.
This all depends on having dependable wi-fi of course, I have seen conflicting reviews about the hotel connection.
Needless to say I am on a massive roll since returning to Hive and if I can write a couple of posts I will.
Thank YOU for taking the time to read my post and if you're one of those amazing people who like to hit the comments section... Then I doubly thank YOU!
Either way I want you to know that you are appreciated!
Keep taking the time to connect with each-other both here and in the 'so-called' real world and try and look after each-other, because as you already know...
I am an incredibly proud member of #TeamUK I love the global community immensely, but it is nice to have a home-team banner to add to my posts. The banner was made by the inimitable RoastMaster General himself If you are an active UK member and would like to be added to the teamUK community on Discord, just let me know 😎
Any images in my posts are either 'taken by me' or 'created in Canva by me.'
