My ArtVenture: Pencil work „Seascape“

Hello my dear Steemians and Art Fans,

Recently while curating (@art-venture) the Artist who doing their work with pencils, that reminded me on my early works.

Many of you know that when I started to do my posts in Steem I did works with pencils and used the old fashioned cross hatching method, to tell the truth I love to do that maybe because I love geometrical correct shapes and my love to Architecture comes from there too.
 

I did a lot of portrait but nevertheless seascape was and remained my favourite, of course to do seascape with pencils is much more difficult because you have to concentrate on the lines and create waves, that are more dynamic.
 

I did few seascapes with graphite pencils and really like it, of course it takes a lot of time to work on such detailed work, sometimes you spend a week and I remember one of my work that took me few months, because you need to have an inspiration, time to be able just to sink into such work and not to be distracted.

That is why there are a lot of good memories are connected with this painting, the time of our arrival to Scotland, rough sea and my first complex graphite pencil work. I specially created it for the pencil contest of Atisteem in November 2018, that was the time when I discovered the contest. • Drawing paper 27.2cmx42 cm
• Faber Castell graphite pencils grade: 2B, 3B, 5B, 6B
