We wear masks

The good wear them

The evil the most

We live behind masks

To hide the pain

To conceal the scars

To cover the hurt

To hide the tears

It is like a shield

That protects us

From the sad reality of life;

The craziness of this world.

Some, a mask of deception

To gain our trust;

To own our love;

To take all we have

But how can we break through?

See through the mask;

The lies hidden with each;

Know the truth behind all

Life is a game;

That of hide and seek.

We find the truth behind some

Others remain mysteries.
