Do You Also See the Beauty ??
Good day to all ๐ In today's post, I would like to share the beauty of winter. Yes, it's still winter in Canada! We have had some mild weather, but mother nature reminded us how harsh and bitter this season can be !!!
I am obsessed with capturing photos after a hoar frost. It's magical :) There are 2 types of this frost, hoar and rime.

writes : "Where do you see each one?
"We tend to see hoarfrost where it gets colder, so you wouldn't see it as much on the [B.C.] Lower Mainland. We tend to see it more on the prairies," Lang explains.
"Rime icing can occur pretty much anywhere the temperature goes below freezing. We see the worst events when the temperatures are โ4 C to โ7 C. If it gets colder than that, the air gets drier and we don't see the fog banks as much."
Rime ice is more common in the prairies and in higher elevations like mountain ranges."
How does this remarkable frost form?

"How does hoar frost form?
Under clear, cold nights in winter, a hoar frost can form.
Hoar frost forms when water vapour in the air comes into contact with an object that is below freezing. Rather than the water vapour first condensing onto the object and then freezing, the water vapour immediately freezes to form ice crystals. The hoar frost is distinctive due to its feathery structure, and the freezing process is so quick that it traps air, giving it a white or silver opaque appearance."
My horse Chica was even subject to this frost ๐ฒ
Frost formed on her eyelashes too
For me. there is no denying the beauty of this frost
Sunset gives it even more character ๐
Now, a few close ups...
A fence post :)
This is the other side of the fence post ๐
A branch of a dead tree seemed to attract a lot of frost.
It's always worth getting all bundled up with the camera in tow to get these extraordinary shots!
