In this era of the sound byte, something is lost when context is not given. By the time something is irretrievably misunderstood, it is too late to take it back as there is a "permanent record."
Maybe if I take the time to think about what I think of as the truth, but may be difficult for others to understand, it could be that I haven't thought the issue through.
A well considered argument goes a long way.
