Introducing the Watchlist feature + 10000 DEC giveaway

Dear Splinterlands Community,

I'm happy to introduce you to my site's newest feature: the watchlist.

From today, you can get notifications about price changes of the cards you are interested in.

Let's check out, how it works!

Creating watchlist items

In this example, we will create a watchlist item for Nidhoggr, the last Rebellion Conflict card:

Step 1/3

You can start the creation process from many locations after logging in:

• By clicking on the heart icon on the main page:

• By clicking on one of the heart icons on the card overview page:

• By clicking on the heart icon on the My cards page (location is the same as on the main page)

Step 2/3

• During the next step, a dialog will pop up, listing your current watchlist items:

• Click on Create button

Step 3/3

After clicking the Create button, a new dialog will appear:

In this dialog, you can create 4 types of items:

• Sale discount (if you want to buy a new card at a good price)
• Rental discount (if you want to rent a new card at a good price)
• Sale profit (if you want your card to be sold at a good price)
• Rental profit (if you want your card to be rented at a good price)

Let's create a sale discount watchlist item by selecting Discount item from the Type dropdown and Sale item from the Price type dropdown:

After choosing the types, you have to tell what kind of notifications you would like to receive:

• Outlier notification: Select this, if you want to get notified about falling/rising prices
• Threshold notification: In this case, you can enter a value. You will get a notification after the card's price passes this value.

You have to select at least one option, but you can choose both. In our example, we will turn on outlier notification and enter a threshold price too ($20):

After proper fill-out, you will get a hint about your configuration: "Notify me if the sale price is falling (🔥) or less than or equal to $20"

After clicking the Save button, the item will appear in the list:

Tracking watchlist items

You can check your watchlist items by clicking the My watchlist menu item:

On this page, there can be four tables, each for different types:

• Sales for discount
• Sales for profit
• Rentals for discount
• Rentals for profit

Let's examine our newly created watchlist item in the Sales for discount table:

Columns:

• Fulfilled: You will find a ✅ icon if one of the watchlist item's conditions are fulfilled (falling price, or price less than or equal to $20)
• Name: The card's name
• Level: The card's level
• Falling/rising price notification: Checked, if outlier notification was turned on
• Threshold notification: The value of your threshold
• Current price: The card's current price
• Min/max price: The lowest/highest price from the past 14 days
• Diff from threshold: How far we are from the threshold value (%)
• Diff from min/max: How far we are from the min/max value (%)

Getting Discord notifications

This is the heart of the feature 🙂. To receive Discord notifications, the following prerequisites must be made:

• Join the SplinterTrends Discord channel: https://discord.gg/YU82wKDhhC
• Click on the Settings button in the top-right corner:

• A new dialog will appear:

• Enter your Discord username and turn on the Enable switch button.

You can find your Discord username here

In addition, you can enter the maximum number of notifications/card/day.

After everything is configured correctly, you will receive direct messages from SplinterTrends Watchlist Bot if one of your notification conditions are met:

Additional information

• Watchlist item notifications are sent out every hour. I'm planning to check conditions more frequently in the future
• Currently, you can create a maximum of 10 watchlist items. After introducing our utility token, this limit can be increased easily.
• The feature was tested only by me, so there can be bugs. Please send me the details in Discord, if you find one.
