Fall Guys: The Cute party game that

Recently, I've also been getting back into Fall Guys, for the new season! The game is basically a party-style battle royale platformer, which consists of speeding through various events and trying not to be eliminated!

The appeal for the game I feel, involves 3 strong elements.
(1) Visual Style
(2) Simplicity
(3) Competition

(1) - Visual Style. It's undeniable that these cute little characters have a very distinct design style to them! They look like they could easily pass for something like a Mario enemy, with a simplistic yet appealing cartoon design, and bright colors that stand out. There are so many costumes and colors and accessories you can also purchase for your Fall Guy, and you can easily tell that Player Expression and Customization is one of the things that Fall Guys excels at!

(2) - Simplicity. The actual controls of Fall Guys usually involve no more than 2-3 buttons for gameplay. Simply use the joystick for movement, the 'A' button to jump, and the 'X' button to dive while in mid-air. The objective is to either complete a race or a simple task, with the goal being to avoid elimination.

(3) - Competition. I think many players like the Battle Royale style competition in Fall Guys. You wouldn't expect that such a cute-looking game actually has such fierce competition! I think this is one of the main things that actually makes this game so addicting. Who would be satisfied with getting eliminated in the first round?? No doubt, you'll be pressing the 'retry' button over and over again, until you can come in a better place!

In terms of tips, I can't really offer anything, other than to keep playing rounds over and over, and getting a feel for jump timing as well as dash timing, is super important! The game doesn't offer a 'practice' mode, so you'll just have to get better while you're on the battlefield.

Many have checked out this game for the fun visuals, but I feel like a lot of the player base has stuck around for an unsurprisingly long time, because of the constant updates and new offerings the game offers, upon every new season. The latest season was just released on July 20, 2021! It's a Jungle Theme, and it's pretty fun. I like all of the challenges! Fall Guys is out on Xbox, Playstation, Nintendo AND PC! So you can enjoy this fun game on any platform.

There's no doubt that Fall Guys will continue to release updates and stay relevant as a contrast to the very serious and realistic art styles that competitive games all seem to have nowadays.
