MESSI RESUMES TRAINING AT BARCELONA
After a long holiday and international duty, Lionel Messi has finally returned to his club Barcelona, leaving backwards all the world cup disappointments and failures he and his other teammates had with the national team.
The south American nation Argentina were one of the top under-performed countries in the Russia 2018 world cup as the 2014 world cup runners up only struggled to make it out of the group stage and unable to get past the round of 16.
Messi remained goal-less for the first two matches in the world cup until his third match against the Super Eagles of Nigeria where he scored a brilliant opener to revive their hope as his side eventually got through to the round of 16 on a 2-1 victory.
The five time Ballon d'Or winner is now ready to continue his work with the LaLiga winners as he returned to training, awaiting the new coach Ernesto Valverde's first season with Barcelona.
