The Bucket List (2007)
While watching this film, I thought, "What if it was me!" A hard-working family man at his sixties, whose entire life had spent to amend the error that he made in his youth.
Cancer is a nightmare for anyone. When your days are numbered, it's very difficult to live, I guess. We can sleep without the fear of death because of the uncertainty of death. That's what makes life interesting, makes us do the things within a short period of time.
Dealing with cancer is the worst thing you can expect from life, specially if you don't have THAT much money. One of my female classmate and a good friend died of cancer in 2011. We tried our best to keep her alive, but all went in vain. You won't feel the suffering of a cancer patient and his/her family if you don't go through the tunnel.
So, consider the following points:
You are at your sixties and diagnosed with cancer, you have done everything you needed to do for your family so far.
You spent the last 45 years of your life for your family.
Your children are well settled.
You don't have any mental strings attached with anyone other than your wife.
You got a million dollar and six months of life.
What are you gonna do? Will you spend your life with your family or will you go finish the unfinished tasks you couldn’t for the lack of money and opportunities?
Studying about the meaning of life is very important to me. This movie will make you think about your life. The life you borrowed, did you get pleasure from it? Did you give pleasure to others in your life? Will you have good memories to think about when you are old? Many questions will arise while you watch this movie.
I think this quote is enough to make one to start the movie immediately:
Maybe you have seen this quote somewhere:
The sources are mentioned in the pictures.
It's a feel-good movie, not a sad one. Your mood will immediately cheer-up, I promise. Morgan Freeman and Jack Nicholson will just blow your mind. The quotes are awesome! You will get to see the most beautiful landmarks of the world like the Pyramids of Egypt, Tajmahal, the Mount Everest and so many things.
Happy watching!
