Silk (feat. Makis Gibs)

Silk is a very personal song for me.

I originally wrote, recorded, and filmed this as a raw acoustic performance during a significant moment in my life last year. There was no attempt to make it perfect—just an honest expression of where I was emotionally at that time.

Months later, Makis Gibs discovered the track and asked if he could play over it. What you'll hear is his live, improvised electric guitar performance woven into that original recording. I loved the idea of revisiting this chapter of my life through another musician's heart and hearing where the music wanted to go.

Neither of us were interested in polishing away every imperfection. In fact, we both felt the opposite. The little flaws, the rough edges, the human moments... they are what make this piece feel complete. There is something beautiful about allowing music to simply exist as it is, without chasing perfection.

Thank you to Makis for adding such a heartfelt and expressive performance. It was a privilege to revisit this piece together.
