Steady Marching Onward
The inspiration for this song is an old cribbage board that I played on all through my childhood. I later found out that it had been used by my great-grandfather as he played cribbage to pass the time in WW1, and that the board I learned to play on had been with him the nights he spent huddled in a foxhole.
