It’s the End of the World as We Know It?

My acquaintance with Midjourney began with the phrase "Well, it's all over for painters now!", which I read somewhere here. Of course, I took this as a typical clickbait, but then I looked into the post and experienced the same feelings as most of you.





Of course, painters will not disappear, but I do believe that the entire field of fine arts will change dramatically in the near future. Didn't the same thing happen to literature? Even 20-30 years ago, Aristotle's thousand-year precepts seemed unshakable and truly eternal. But then the culture of television series arose, and the entire foundation of classical dramaturgy flew into the abyss (well, okay, not the whole foundation, but only half - should I enhance the effect a little). And on the other hand, a fandom is emerging as a mass movement on a planetary scale, and now the Internet is flooded with millions of "fanfics", sometimes written with talent, and sometimes done in such a way that I want to destroy the whole world (one more hyperbole, relax).

















After seeing the next 4 images, I initially decided that these were not high-quality photos. Midjourney created them using simple keywords, something like "winter night in the suburbs of Moscow." Damn it, but in real life this is exactly what it is - winter night in the suburbs of Moscow, I guarantee it.
