Bilder von 2016 (NikonD7100) bei einem Besuch der Befreiungshalle zu Kelheim. Erbaut als Denkmal für den siegreichen Befreiungskampf gegen Napoleon. Interessant zu erwähnen ist das es sich hier um eine alte Stätte handelt wo die Kelten schon siedelten bzw. hier die alte Keltenstadt Alkiomennis liegt. Die Ringwallanlagen bzw. Wälle sind auch heute noch deutlich zu erkennen. Ebenfalls interessant ist das mehr als die Hälfte des gesamten Gebäudes (bzw. Fundament) der Befreiungshalle unter der Erde liegen womit sich eine völlig andere Dimension über das Ausmaß dieser architektonischen Leistung ergibt. Allein die spektakulär lange Bauzeit mit langen Unterbrechungen und der Umstand das ein so enormer Teil des Gebäudes für den Betrachter von Außen gar nicht sichtbar ist lohnen eine tiefergehende Recherche.

Interesting to mention is that this is an old site where the Celts already settled or here the ancient Celtic city Alkiomennis is located. The Ringwallanlagen or ramparts are still clearly visible today. Also interesting is that more than half of the entire building (or foundation) of the Liberation Hall is underground, giving a completely different dimension to the extent of this architectural achievement. But the spectacularly long construction time with long interruptions and the fact that such an enormous part of the building is not visible to the viewer from the outside is worth a deeper search.
