Hanging
Its been a busy hanging week. The Corner Exihibition starts today, at Sophienholm, just north of Copenhagen.
Corner is a artist collective, that among other things, have an annual Exhibition. This year there are 45 contributors, with 3 danish guests and 8 chinese art students aswell. I will fill you in on the idea of the artist collective in another post, and there will be more pictures of the actual exhibition aswell.
In this post I just wanted to give you a glimpse of my hanging, and the process. I have made 18 small works, paintings, watercolor and photos. I had some ideas of the hanging, but when you arrive at the scene, its always another story!
Lots of good advice from my fantastic colleagues, didnt make it easier, and the fact that I was in the hanging group, and together with two other guys, was responsible for the hanging of the Exhibitions 380 works in total.
Lots of laying pictures on the floor, getting an idea of the dimensions. Home to my beloved adobe Illustrator, moving the pictures around, and found this solution.
as soon as the exhibition have settled a little bit I will give you a thorough tour of the whole Exibition, and a walk through my own works and process. So untill then.....
