HAPPY EASTER
Jesus' betrayal, crucifixion, and resurrection are significant events in Christian theology. According to the Bible, Jesus was betrayed by one of his disciples, Judas Iscariot, who identified him to the religious authorities with a kiss in the Garden of Gethsemane. Jesus Christ was arrested, tried, and finally sentenced to death by crucifixion.
Jesus was crucified on a cross at Golgotha, outside Jerusalem, where he was mocked and ridiculed by onlookers. Despite the immense suffering, Jesus forgave his executioners and displayed compassion towards the criminal crucified alongside him. As he hung on the cross, darkness covered the land, and he uttered the famous words, "Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do."
After his death, Jesus' body was placed in a tomb, and a large stone was rolled in front of the entrance. On the third day (now celebrated as Easter Sunday), Jesus rose from the dead. His resurrection is seen as a triumph over sin and death, symbolizing hope and new life for believers.
The story of Jesus' betrayal, crucifixion, and resurrection is central to the Christian faith, representing sacrifice, redemption, and the promise of eternal life. It is a story of love, forgiveness, and ultimate victory over darkness and despair.
