“Shake Rattle And Roll!”☺️
Summertime has finally arrived in the Pacific Northwest!😎
Just look at the extended forecast in the third photo!🤗
Doug, a friend from Church that Liz and Silvertop usually see each and every Sunday, is “Missing in Action”!☺️
He is responsible for all the water irrigation for a very large berry farmer.
With the harvest in full swing, he is working very long hours!
“Silvertop…. I get to work by 5:30 AM, and I usually don’t leave work till 9:30 or 10PM…….SEVEN days a week!”😅
What you are looking at in the first two photos, is a “Berry Shaking Harvester”!
It’s interesting technology, instead of picking raspberries, or blackberries, or blueberries, this machine shakes them off the bushes completely undamaged!😇
On top of all this busyness, next week is the start of the “Northwest Washington Fair”.
The Fairgrounds occupies 54 acres in the center of the small town of Lynden Washington!😊
So much to see and do!
You could easily spend several days exploring the hundreds of booths and exhibits, and the barns full of different farm animals!🤗
“Dennis…… can we park in your front yard again?”😇
“ Mikey….. you and Liz are always welcome to park in our yard!”☺️
Dennis was the delivery driver at the now closed Lynden Tribune, newspaper and printing company, that we both worked at for years!😊
Dennis’s house is several blocks away from the Fairgrounds, and he tells me he gets to listen to ALL of the outdoor concerts for free, they are so loud!😇😳
Prices for each of the individual concerts vary according to how popular the artist………….
The concert ticket price is on top of the cost for general admission into the fairgrounds!
Here’s how it breaks down …………
General Admission $15.00
Tickets for “Toby Mac” a very popular Christian artist run $113.00 EACH!😳
Add the cost of parking, and food, and two people could easily spend $300.00 even without paying another additional charge for carnival ride tickets!🙄
“Dennis….. we cheap out, we bring backpacks with our lunch, and we will definitely skip Toby Mac this year Lol!”😇
Of course Liz and Silvertop will still splurge for a couple of lattes and mocha’s throughout the day!☺️
“Dennis……can I still burn rubber in your front yard this year Lol?”😇
“Of course Mikey!”🙄
Liz and Silvertop can’t wait Lol!🤗
