After several loud “Barks”, a thick black plume of smoke, and then a “MASSIVE Backfire”from the boiler, Steam Engine #70 effortlessly started picking up speed!☺️
“WHAT was that explosion Silvertop!”😳
“It’s all part of the experience Liz!”🥰
The passenger cars were full, it was a packed train excursion!
Steem Engine #70 spent its working days hauling heavy timber, today’s trainload of sightseers didn’t even come close to working this locomotive!💪
Guys can you imagine what it was like to hear these powerful Steem engines making their way through the Mountains 100 years ago!😊
Today’s destination………. The Historic town site of “Mineral Washington!”
It was like stepping through a door back in time……………
It was June 24 1947, Private Pilot Kennith Arnold was flying over this townsite of Mineral, looking for a downed aircraft, when he spotted nine bright objects near Mt rainier!😳
I asked Chat GPT about this……………🤔

Kennith reported that “ They moved like a saucer skipping across water!”
The news picked this statement up, and the term “Flying Saucer” stuck!😇
This small Arsenic mining town of Mineral, was to become the birthplace of the “1947 UFO Flap”, and “Project Blue Book”!😳

I will still keep an eye out my friends, between Bigfoot, and the Birthplace of UFO’s, Silvertop is standing in a very interesting spot in the Pacific Northwest!
