I once had an enchanting goddess
Who painted my sores with honey Her name like the gush of many waters
My lover Ajuwaa
When the sun rises at dawn I will remember your smile
Come, come my friend
Let me tell you a story
Of how mother-earth turned a gift I treasured into dust
How I now wander aimlessly in my dreams
How I now let my tears flow freely down my cheeks so they create a dent in her memory Come my friend!
Evil roamed the night
The wind was merciless The udara tree had fallen So did your eyes—Till eternity
You departed without warning
Without a second thought And I wonder if you did not think of me Death's but a cruel tyrant

This betrayal is a kind beyond pardon You promised we would always be together I took your word And registered it in the journal of my heart
