The director recognizes this as a solemn moment. We probably shouldn't film someone--especially a famous super heroine AND super model--being incinerated. I'm not sure how long it takes someone to die from jumping into lava, but it sounds downright unpleasant. If Phantom Lady really doesn't want her screams to haunt Mary for the rest of her life, she should dive in head first.

I thought about having a whole "with great power comes great responsibility" speech pertaining to Mary's new boobs. That might have killed the vibe.

I'll have to launch a new poll to see who replaces Phantom Lady. Unless a miracle happens in the next panel. Will a miracle happen in the next panel? Well, you won't find out for an extra day because tomorrow is a new Java Jaguar strip! Cliffhangers are even worse when said cliff is over an active volcano!
