Pele in Hawaiian mythology as far as I know, never granted a wish to anyone. She's known for being jealous and capricious, and for exploding volcanoes. There is also no uniformity on her appearance, from being an old crone to a beautiful young maiden, to the white dog that haunts the Old Pali Road.
What about all the other rules governing wishes? I think those were pretty well-handled in Aladdin if anyone asks.
