First Hiking Experience.

Almost every morning, I wake up with dread. Thinking of the stress that I may again have to face all throughout the day. Life is a struggle, a constant struggle! Yes indeed, it is. It is maybe for some to chose better perspective. However, for some pessimist like me, I will almost always expect the worse in everything . But once in a while, life has a pretty way of making you see things that you're missing.

My friends convinced me, more like forced, to try hiking with them and explore the hidden waterfalls in the city. I was reluctant because I am basically a couch potato and I prefer to stat indoors most of the time, and the idea of tiring myself with long walks isnt very appealing to me. However, my friends made me an offer that I cannot refuse. 😁

We started hiking and the photo above showed that it was a great day. Clear skies and you can hear birds from the trees and maybe some other creatures along the way. It was not so bad, at first. I enjoyed being with nature.

However,in the middle of the journey. It felt hell for me. Im chasing my breath, sweat keeps on dripping, and my feet hurt. I thought maybe this is what Frodo and Sam felt like when they're trying to get to Mordor. I wasn't able to take any pictures of the path we took because mainly I wasn'te enjoying hiking and Im trying to stay alive. 😁 I wanted it to end. I wanted to stop hiking and just lay on the ground. But...

Alas!

We've found a hidden gem! Upon seeing this, it felt like all my pains were gone and I felt invigorated and energized! I could not help but enjoy myself and swam in the cool and relaxing waters of this waterfall.

We found more waterfalls along the way and I could confidently say that the pain and hassle is nothing compared to these beautiful waterfalls. I wasn't able to take pictures of them mainly because, this time, I was enjoying myself.

Indeed, difficult roads lead to beautiful destinations. So everytime I feel weary and tired about my life, I think about this certain adventure and the happiness it gave me.
