Yosemite, the big mouth

Translated from my previous blog: https://perdidopelomundo.wordpress.com/2016/04/10/yosemite-a-grande-boca/

The Yosemite Valley, or simply Yosemite, originally was called Awooni or Owwon, what means "big mouth". This valley was craved among huge granite rocks for millions of years and nowadays it's one of the United States National Parks, located 265km away from San Francisco City, California.

(John Muir, parkt idealizer of the park)

The park is very well organized and counts with camping sites, canvas tents (with heating system and bear proof lockers) and hotels, allowing a democratic access for everyone. Moreover, it has also a visitor's center and an intern bus line that reaches all the main spots to reduce the car usage inside the park.

The park has many trails, all of them well marked, among the Mist leads to the Vernal Waterfall, a beautiful and easy one. The trail to the top of the waterfall might be locked due to the ice/snow during the winter and late autumn.

Another trail that should be highlighted is the one to the top of the Yosemite Falls, the highest of North America, with 739 meters. The trails is exhausting but the sights all the way up and in the summit are rewarding.

To conclude I leave you with a photo of this amazing odd night sky.
