📷 Light and Shadow

We were driving through a gorge along the river. It was gloomy all around: low, thick clouds covered the sky, and even the mountain peaks were lost in them. But when we were approaching the end of the gorge, we saw that further on, it seemed - around the bend in the road, the clouds parted a little and light was breaking through this window in the clouds into the shadow surrounding us. It was beautiful.

Although the road along the cliff was narrow, almost without a roadside, I really wanted to stop and capture this picture as a keepsake. I don’t know if you will like the photo, but it seems to me that it conveys well that atmosphere in the mountains, when light breaks through into the seemingly continuous, gloomy kingdom of shadow.
