A picture is worth a thousand words: The evil on the other side
“Mom, what is on the other side?” the little boy asked as sat on a chair by the edge of the window, looking out into the foggy weather outside
“Evil” his mother replied and his beautiful little face twisted into a frown.
“Is it going to harm us?” he asked innocently and his mother knelt beside him, cupping his face in her palm.
“Only if you go outside.” she replied and he nodded. Ever since they got inside there, his mother hadn't let him out and had warned him against going out.
According to her, there was a evil looming in the fog outside the window and it was waiting on a prey. She had told him that several times, but everytime she said it, it only increased his curiosity.
Now, she sat quietly, staring outside , his mind already made up. He had to see what was on the other side.
