NEED HELP WITH MARKETING PROPOSAL FOR HIVE!

hive_meme.png

There have been and still are many ideas proposed by HIVE members regarding the marketing of our blockchain. Today I decided to use Chat-GPT to see what could be a good direction. This post is the results of my prompts. I believe it is a very good proposal and budget friendly.

I would like some help implementing the proposal though. I am not a dummy and am very familiar with this blockchain and its protocol. There are many gaps in my knowledge though. I would greatly appreciate any input and also folks who would like to help in this proposed marketing initiative.

Hopefully I will not get in trouble tagging the following influential folk. I just do it because I respect their expertise in these matters and would value their input. theycallmedan@theycallmedan, taskmaster4450@taskmaster4450, guiltyparties@guiltyparties, thekittygirl@thekittygirl, shadowspub@shadowspub, acidyo@acidyo, aggroed@aggroed, gandalf@gandalf. Of course I appreciate anyone's input as long as it is productive. My dad used to say: "Don't complain about what is wrong. Provide a proposed solution."

So here is what Chat-GPT and I came up with.

90-Day Hive Developer & Investor Growth Initiative (Budget-Constrained)

Beneficiary

To be specified (individual or multi-sig account responsible for execution)
The beneficiary will be responsible for coordinating contributors, publishing updates, and maintaining transparency.

Proposal Duration

90 days

Daily HBD Requested

27.78 HBD / day
Total requested ≈ 2,500 HBD over 90 days
(Unused funds will be disclosed and returned or rolled forward per DAO norms.)

Total Requested
≈ 2,500 HBD

Summary

This proposal funds a 90-day, low-budget growth initiative for the Hive blockchain focused on:
• Improving developer onboarding
• Driving real application deployment
• Increasing investor credibility through metrics and reporting
The initiative avoids paid advertising and instead leverages:
• Open-source tooling
• Community coordination
• HP delegation
• Transparent reporting
The goal is measurable execution, not marketing hype.

Problem Statement

Hive has:
• Proven infrastructure
• Real users
• Production applications
However, Hive continues to suffer from:
• Fragmented developer onboarding
• Inconsistent external messaging
• Lack of consolidated, investor-grade reporting

As a result, Hive is often overlooked by developers and investors, despite its strengths.
This proposal addresses those gaps efficiently and transparently.

Objectives

Developer-Focused Objectives
• Reduce onboarding time to <30 minutes
• Deliver 3 reusable app templates
• Ship 5–10 new functional Hive-based apps
Investor-Focused Objectives
• Publish a Hive Network Report
• Maintain a public metrics dashboard
• Generate qualified, non-hype investor interest

Scope of Work

Phase 1 — Foundation (Days 1–30)
• Lock unified developer & investor narratives
• Improve Hive on-boarding documentation
• Publish starter repositories
• Create a public metrics dashboard
Phase 2 — Proof & Outreach (Days 31–60)
• Run a “Ship on Hive” developer sprint
• Support builders with mentoring and visibility
• Publish app demos and testimonials
• Begin quiet investor outreach using metrics and demos
Phase 3 — Amplification (Days 61–90)
• Launch regional ambassadors (3 regions)
• Shift messaging to an apps-first approach
• Publish the Hive Network Report
• Conduct a public review and retrospective

Budget Breakdown

Category Amounts (HBD)
Developer micro-grants=1,000
Design & report polish=500
Regional ambassadors=500
Tools & hosting=250
Contingency=250
Total=2,500

Cost-minimization measures

  • Use HP delegation instead of cash where possible
  • Volunteer contributors prioritized
  • No paid advertising

Deliverables

By Day 90, the following will be delivered publicly:
• ✅ Hive developer quickstart documentation
• ✅ 3 open-source Hive app templates
• ✅ Public metrics dashboard
• ✅ Completed developer sprint with shipped apps
• ✅ App case studies and demos
• ✅ Hive Network Report (PDF)
• ✅ Final transparency and performance report

Reporting & Accountability

  • Weekly public progress updates posted on Hive
  • Public budget tracking
  • Metrics and repositories kept open-source
  • Final retrospective including:
    • Successes
    • Failures
    • Recommendations
    • Failure to report may result in proposal termination per Hive DAO expectations.

Risk & Mitigation

Risk: Low participation
Mitigation: Developer sprint + visible incentives

Risk: Limited investor engagement
Mitigation: Focus on metrics and shipped apps, not speculation

Risk: Budget inefficiency
Mitigation: Small tranches, public accounting, delegation-first approach

Conclusion

Hive does not need aggressive marketing or speculative narratives. It needs coordination, proof, and consistency.

This proposal delivers:
• Clear scope
• Small budget
• Fixed timeline
• Measurable outcomes

If successful, the DAO may choose to renew or scale the initiative.
