Seek help on time.

I know sometimes it might be difficult to seek help. We might even feel discouraged due to past experiences. No matter what has happened, try your best to let people that care know you need help. I got a shocking news about a very vibrant sister in church. I was shocked to see the youth WhatsApp group filled with weeping emojis, I was seeing "Rest in Peace" all over the group. "What happened to this sister" was my question. I knew her to be hardworking and someone struggling to cater for her needs. I had to make enquiry from a brother in the church who narrated everything to me.

This sister has been sick since upper Tuesday and has been trying different drugs ( self medication) and she was there till this past Sunday. When the pains was so unbearable she called the pastor's wife during the service that she has been sick and she rushed there with some members. On getting there what they saw was something else, she was dying and they had to rush her to the hospital. After series of test and treatment, all efforts were late, we lost her.

I felt so cold immediately, a wonderful soul was lost, money that could have saved her came late just because she didn't speak out on time. Sometimes we assume and concluded that no one will help. To some, it is their image they are protecting. Hmmm.. what a painful exit.

Another lesson I learnt from what happened is that self medication should not be an option for us. Visit the hospital. We only have one life, let's guard it jealously and take our health issues serious.
