The Emotion Called Envy. ~ Poem Analysis 3

I missed last week 😭😭😭
I guess that's what happens when you are in different communities and writing different posts, it could get a bit overwhelming 😭😗

Anyways.....

I'm here again with the 3rd post of my Poem analysis ✨....

Today I have a real doozie for you, a poem from one of our people on hive 😍🔥

Y'see it's an elaborate ploy of mine to bring some popularity to the work.

STEP 1

Establish yourself as a budding yet talented analyst on poems_______ ✅

STEP 2

Find a Shakespearean whale on hive

STEP 3

Write a moving analysis on his/her work and see how much the whale blows on you

Unbeatable plan right? 😀

As we can see Step 1 is checked..

I was going to do step 2, but here I was bedazzled by another poem...
Now she's no Whale 😂, but she is at least Shakespearean, so maybe a half check on step 2?

Jealousy

Jealousy, like a monster with sharp teeth,

That turns the sanest of fellows into unruly beasts.
It starts from the mind and digs deep into the soul,
Leaving in its wake a dark, empty hole.

Just a little spark before it ignites into a fire,

Turning friends into foes and the people we admire.
I've never seen something so small, grow so vast,
Ripping us from the ones we love and good people from our past.

We covet what people own and are never satisfied with the gifts our hands have shown.

The resentment and discontent we feel in our hearts,
Will slowly, but surely drive us apart.

But the truth about jealousy forever remains,

That it's a thief of joy and blessings and gains.
And that if we only purge our hearts to become new,
We would be astonished at a whole new point of view.

That the success of others should become ours,

And lifting others should make our smiles as bright as stars.
Not forgetting to count our blessings one by one,
We would be amazed at what God has done.

Let us, therefore, devote our day,

To keep the evil spawn, jealousy, at bay.
Then, trust, as our spirits become light,
And deep down we will feel just right.

Here's what I think about it 😗

Analysis

The writer uses fantabulous wordplay to make a heartwarming piece about an ice cold emotion.
Describing Jealousy as a monster with sharp teeth, she shows how it could transform people and kills relationships.
How it destroys the mind and twists the soul🙁.

She then goes on to tell us how to conquer this beast...

Purge your heart to become new...

This would open our eyes to allow us see our object of envy in another light 🕯️.

The author of this piece gives us a whole life's lesson, in not more than 24 lines 😀

A stunning achievement if you ask me

Although, this may be just a personal opinion of mine but I believe that Jealousy is a massivepusher( I forgot the term😭😭)
Jealousy pushes some to work harder.
The urge to want what Man A has
