Veg Dum Biryani

Veg Biryani
Veg Biryani is a rice dish made with a mixture of basmati rice, spices, and vegetables that is prepared in almost every country and in almost every household.
Ingredients:

  1. Basmati rice - 2 cups
  2. Potatoes - 2 (finely chopped)
  3. Onions - 3 (finely chopped)
  4. Bell pepper - 1 (finely chopped)
  5. Carrot - 1 (finely chopped)
  6. Cauliflower - 1/4 cup (finely chopped)
  7. Peas - 1/2 cup
  8. Cashews - 1/4 cup
  9. Bay leaves - 2
  10. Cinnamon - 1 piece
  11. Oil or ghee - 2 tablespoons
  12. Cumin seeds - 1 teaspoon
  13. Garlic, ginger, and green chili paste
  14. Red chili powder - 2 teaspoons
  15. Coriander powder - 2 teaspoons
  16. Salt - 1 tsp
  17. Turmeric Powder - 1/2 tsp
  18. Biryani Masala - 2 tsp
  19. Yogurt - 1 cup
  20. Finely chopped coriander
  21. Mint leaves

Method:-
Rice:-
First, put basmati rice in a pan and wash it thoroughly until the water runs clear, then soak it for 30 minutes.

Now add water, salt, and water to the rice.


Add cinnamon and bay leaves.

Cook half the uncooked rice and strain out the excess water.

And set aside to cool.

Marinated Masala:

Pour one cup of yogurt into a bowl.

Add all the dry spices (salt, red chili powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder, and biryani masala) to it.

Mix well and set aside.
Now heat oil in a pan and add all the vegetables one by one.

Add

Add the cashew pieces.

Then add ginger, garlic, and green chili paste and mix well.

When all of these are fried, add the marinated spices.

Good Mix thoroughly

When the oil starts to separate, add the half-cooked rice.

Mix slowly.

Cook for 10 minutes.

Turn off the heat, add coriander leaves and mint and serve.

Biryani is also served with raita or gravy.
