• After the SPD, which previously ruled Thuringia, suffered heavy losses in the state elections on February 10th, the state parliament is electing a bourgeois government. Richard Leutheußer (DVP) will become Prime Minister.
  
  
• In his 12th monthly report, Alfred Zimmermann, Commissioner General of the League of Nations for Austria, presents the successes already achieved in currency restructuring. At the same time, however, he emphasizes the need for further savings in the administrative area.
