Estonia: My Kinda Prompt Welcome by the Fat Lady in Fairy-tale Town

Hey look at the big fat flattie tower!
What what?
It's Fat Margaret!

It was late noon when we arrived at the Tallinn ferry port,
(We'd missed our early morning ferry :|)
my first instinct was 'waste-no-more-time' and
direct ourselves straight to the fairy tale town right away.

Not far from the harbour where we disembarked,
perhaps a 10 minutes' walk,
we were promptly welcomed by Fat Margaret -
our first impressive glimpse into this medieval city.

Well 'She' was apparently not anyone else we met in person
but a big *ss round-shaped flat defensive tower
which landmarked as the entrance gate into the old town
and toward Long Street with its remarkable bulwark.

I've tried to search on the internet
about the origins of the name but I'm still left clueless.
Anyways I can still relate
by judging from the architecture itself physically -
Perhaps Margaret was a dope great chef lady in her mid-50'
and enjoyed humming in the kitchen? :)
