Avoidance is the Devil

His point isn’t that meditation is bad or unhelpful. It’s that literally anything, even good things (especially good things) can be hijacked by the ego and used as a tool for avoidance rather than awakening.
If you are asleep, you won’t awake by pursuing peace and safety. Awakening is on the far side of a personal apocalypse.
