Hail to the Hive!

After leaving an organised Gin Tasting session at ‘A Pocket Full of Stones’ in Penzance, we made our way to Marazion to literally blow off the inebriation cobwebs.

It had been an early afternoon gin session that had left us a little tipsy a little too early in the day. With Storm Agnes starting to lick the Cornish shoreline we were met with blustery winds and brooding skies. It was all very refreshing. It felt intoxicating but then we were actually intoxicated so I guess it would really 😁.

We were feeling that booze hunger you get so we grabbed some Cornish pasties and hastily wolfed them down to appease the hunger and soak up the considerable amount of alcohol we had already consumed. They had been very generous at the tasting session earlier and we we’re definitely feeling it.

The combination of comfort food in our bellies and strong refreshing sea wind in our faces left us with an exhilarating sensation of good feeling and well being. The views were moody and spectacular, reflecting the inbound energy of the incoming storm.

I was feeling stoked and spent my time snapping away shot after shot as I jumped down to the rocky beach and back up again to the viewing platforms with now broken and defunt telesscopes erected in the past for tourists to spy at St Michaels Mount.

I quite liked their derelict look and decided to include them in the shots and was very happy with how they turned out.

Cornwall really is a special place and it hasn’t disappointed as it has so much to offer. It’s pretty amazing and yiu can see why the Cornish don’t identify as English. It really doesn’t feel English at all.
