Hail to the Hive!

We were recently moving the boat to a new location as we only have 2 weeks in any one spot and we like to be in beautiful spots close to facilities. This little stretch between Kilby Bridge and Foxton locks is particularly lovely.

Even though it had turned into a slightly cloudy day the nnature of those clouds just added a moody backdrop to an already extremely pretty vista.

A beautiful mixture of vegetation, watery reflections, landscape and moody sky/ I knew right away this was begging for a monomad posting.

As i slowly chugged through the landscape on a waterway dug by hand over 200 years ago, steering with my backside and snapping shots from different angles as i passed by, I smiled. I was definitely in my happy place.

Peacuful time, just me the scenery, the sound of a diesel engine beneath me, a coffee within reach and a camera in hand. Persnally this is bliss for me.

My life of late has been in a constant state moving, traveling and working ,and it does seem like so much work at times and very drainin,so these moments I cherish and soak them up as they replenish my depleted soul as I have felt so very drained . I’m getting old me thinks 🤣. I am definitely feeling it lately
