It Totally Sphinx Here - Monomad Challenge

Hail to the Hive!

I think most of us have grown up seeing images of the Sphinx on TV, in books, magazines, video games you name it and it’s an image that really is an iconic symbol that has resonated through the ages. Seeing it up close and personal was something quite special as the pyramids and the sphinx are synonymous with each other and when you are in their presence they all just look right side by side. Pretty awe inspiring and mind boggling when you think how old they all are ( and even more so when you realise the sphinx could wayyyy older)

As I have mentioned in a previous post we were the first to enter the Pyramid compound and took full advantage in getting photos before any crowds arrived.

Even 30 minutes later it would have been impossible to get images like this as there would have been crowds everywhere. I couldn’t be happier with the captures and yet again bkack and white just makes the oerfect medium for these images. They really pop in #monochrome.

The other thing is the scattered cloud cover overhead. This also would not be there an hour or so later as the desert heats up and the Morning moisture dissipates. Early = clouds +no people. Later = lots of leople + no clouds.

So the early photography bird catches the Sphinx 🤣

Love a bit of #monomad 😜
